JEE Main 2020 Exam Date



JEE Main 2020 is the national level undergraduate engineering entrance examination and the gateway for the admission to different B.Tech/B.E which is held by the National Testing Agency. From the year of 2019, JEE Main is being conducted by the National Testing Agency conduct twice a year in computer-based mode. Also, JEE Main is the qualifying exam for the JEE Advanced through which students can get admission to 23 IITs. JEE Main 2020 will be held for 2 papers where Paper-1 is for B.Tech and Paper-2 for B.Arch admissions. Applications of JEE Main 2020 for January will be tentatively available from September 2 in online mode. The admit card will be published in the last week of December and the examination can be conducted in the second week of January.
Students can appear twice for JEE Main 2020 examination. The better of the two numbers will be used for the purpose of ranking as per the regulations laid by the officials. In the states like Haryana, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Nagaland as well as many other private universities use JEE Main ranks for admissions. However, admission guidelines for these will be notified by the concerned officials only.

JEE Main 2020 will be conducted in two sessions, First in January and the other in April. As per the choice, Students can appear in either one or both the attempts. Here are the tentative dates for both the sessions:

  • The application process for JEE Main 2020 will start from September 2, 2019.  Students can apply through the SelfStudys website in online mode only.
  • In JEE Main 2019 January (1st) session, 8,74,469 students appeared for Paper 1 out of which 15 students got 100 percentile and 1,45,386 students appeared for Paper 2.
  • In the year of 2018, JEE Main Paper 1 Cut Off for SC, ST, PwD, OBC and General and were 29, 24, 35, 45 and 74 respectively.
The exam also helps as the preparatory for JEE Advanced 2020 which helps the admission in IITs. Top 2,45,000 JEE Main students will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2020. To outpass the high competition students must create a Study Preparation Strategy for JEE Main 2020 along with practising previous year question papers.

JKBOSE Board Exams 2019 Postponed

The Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education has updated the examination dates again on February 27, 2019. Due to the stressful situation in the state, the JKBOSE has postponed the examinations of 8th, 9th, 10th and 12th class. As per the decision was taken in the meeting of Prof. Veena Pandita, the JKBOSE board has also issued the notification. According to the notice, the examinations 10th and 12th class which were scheduled on March 02 and March 01, 2019 have been postponed. However, the new examination dates have not been published. Tamil Nadu Board Change 11th and 12th Exam Pattern

Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations has come up with the update in the pattern of the question papers. As per the news, in the upcoming board exams of 11th and 12th class, there will be only Multiple Choice Questions in the objective section. Questions of type fill in the blanks are now excluded from the question paper. This last-minute change in the exam pattern put the teachers, students, and parents in dilemma. They are not ready to identify the change in the pattern. Beginning in the last week of January  TN board  has issued the model paper which consists of the questions of type fill in the blanks, match the following and the assertion type questions. But a month later TN board has updated the question paper pattern a little bit. Now below the objective section, there will be the only MCQ type questions. It means every question will have four options. This can also consist of the match the type questions but having four options. TN board has made the level
